Process Settings

The Process Settings task is used for global settings of a number of different process framework parameters.


Selecting the Process Settings task will take you to the Settings main portlet as below.

Table 68 General Settings fields and buttons

Process Execution Enabled

Checked when process execution is enabled i.e. when process instances can be created. This check box is not editable in runtime.

Production

If not checked then all emails sent from the process framework will be sent to the Email specified in the Development – Email field of the Email Settings commented in Table 69 below.

Process Instance Caching

Will cache all process instance(s) information in memory when checked.

Role Check Enabled

If not checked then any user can act in any role without any configuration.

Process Scheduler

Processes can handle non events and other timer settings. Should the system go down for some reason the timer values of all process instances will be persistently saved if the process scheduler field is set to _persist. All such information will be lost if the process scheduler is set to _batch.

Defined in design time and not editable in runtime.

Press the save button to save any settings made in the general settings fields.

Send Email

If not checked then no Emails can be sent from any process instance.

Development – Email

Should the production check box, as described in Table 68, not be checked then all emails sent from the process instances will be sent to the Email address defined in this field.

Production – Domain

Added to process name to form the “from address” when a process instance sends email.

Email Polling

A process can be triggered by an incoming email.

Checking the Email Polling check box enables email polling so that processes can be triggered.

Email polling configuration is defined in design time.

Email Poll Minutes

Specifies how often email polling should be performed.

Press the save button to save any settings made in the email settings fields.

Closes the view.

Cancels the operation and closes the view.

Resets all values to their default values.
