Installation of Corzia Browser
Installation of Corzia Browser
Introduction
As announced by Adobe, Flash Player is not available from Jan 31, 2020.
The Planner software, developed by Corzia, has a framework for the user interface developed in Adobe Flex, which runs on Flash Player in a web browser. This means that Planner is affected by the fact that Flash Player stops using browsers.
To address this, Corzia developed a desktop version of the Planner client that runs on Adobe AIR technology, which is the desktop version of Flash. However – AIR has shown not to be reliable enough.
Because of this, we are providing a new solution. The solution is a stand-alone desktop application called Corzia Browser.
It's basically a wrapped Chromium browser with a flash-plugin. The application is limited to running Comflow and the Planner Application from Corzia. This is done by restricting the URLs that can be accessed by the user to /Comactivity/Portal. Note! The user cannot use the application for any kind of internet browsing or other internet access outside the allowed URL.
The Corzia Browser is replacing the AIR application. This means that the AIR application can be uninstalled (see below).
The Planner server is unchanged and needs no update.
Installation
As different customers have different routines for installing and distributing software, we cannot specify how the software should be installed specifically for each user.
The instructions for installing the client are therefore directed to the IT department which is responsible for distributing the software further.
Pre-requisites
The application requires:
- .NET Framework v4.7.2. If this is missing, the following download request message is displayed. The download is made from: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=863262

- Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013. This may already exist. If the user gets an error. See section 4 below.

NOTE! The URL that can be entered are limited to /comactivity/portal
The user may add #Text directly after the URL to indicate which URL it refers to e.g.

Uninstall Planner AIR
You can un-install the Planner Air client. This is made through the Windows Uninstall Program function: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features.
Errors
The user may get the following message when trying to start the browser.

The error is caused by the following files missing in the user's Windows installation: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcp120.dll and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvcr120.dll
To install the files the user needs to download the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013. This is available at:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
Choose to download: vcredist_x86.exe
