Comflow Standard Icons

Icons are only recommended to be used for actions except as a representation of a few entities. In that context they shall refer to the "verb" of the action and not the subject or object. That also means that one icon can represent very similar actions. The list below pinpoints what the icon shall represent what type of action, and thereby be used both as button or row action.

There are a few principles with the icon choice;

• Squares are for actions that has to do with selecting records.
• Circles are for state or status changes.

Standard icons are:

• fa-times: Close, Shutdown
• fa-ban: Cancel
• fa-refresh: Refresh, Reload
• fa-filter: Filter
• fa-plus: Add, New
• fa-pencil: Edit, Open
• fa-clone: Copy
• fa-eye: View
• fa-search: Search, Find
• fa-floppy-o: Save
• fa-trash: Delete, Confirm Delete,
• fa-minus: Remove
• fa-check: Save & Close, Confirm, OK, Create, Approve, Finish, Apply, Accept
• fa-circle-plus: Increase state/status (promote)
• fa-circle-minus: Decrease state/status (demote)
• fa-circle-check: Complete state/status
• fa-arrow-right: Next, Continue (The only icon that shall be positioned right)
• fa-arrow-left: Previous
• fa-wrench: Manage
• fa-compass: Explore, Overview
• fa-crosshairs: Analyze
• fa-cog: (Edit)  Configure (Settings)
• fa-cogs: Generate, Submit, Calculate
• fa-play: Start, Start process, Activate, Continue (processing after pause)
• fa-pause: Pause, Deactivate, Inactivate
• fa-stop: Stop, Reject, Discountinue
• fa-upload: Import from file, Upload
• fa-download: Export to file, Download
• fa-check-square-o: Select All
• fa-square-o: De-Select All
• fa-plus-square-o: Add/Connect Selected
• fa-minus-square-o: Remove/Disconnect Selected
